Amidst abundant moisture and the ongoing harvest of silage, diverse summer crops, including rape, millet, and turnips, were sown in the past couple of months. The Southwest of Victoria is witnessing an increasing variety of crops taking root. Keeping the AG Services department busy.
The right soil preparation is a major factor in the success and long-term performance of crops. Through informed guidance of our agronomists, and good soil preparation done by our AG Services department, we are achieving remarkable results in cultivating dryland maize, wheat, oats, vetch and covers without relying on irrigation. Employing an additional pass with the discs before planting, significantly improves germination rates. This leads to higher yields at grazing time and makes the transition back into rotation, once the crop comes of, easier.
